Not all chemicals are bad. Without chemicals such as hydrogen and oxygen, for example, there would be no way to make water, a vital ingredient in beer.

Growlers: Environmentally Friendly Drinking

Our half-gallon glass growlers are possibly the most environmentally friendly way to purchase beer for home consumption. Nothing to throw away or recycle after using!

Here's some information about growlers here at Flat Branch:

We do fill growlers from other brewpubs as long as they have the volume and Surgeon General warning permanently marked on the container.

We cannot fill random containers. According to the federal government (BATF) they must be permanently marked with the volume and the Surgeon General warning.

Please throughly clean your growler after use, so that next time you fill it, it will be clean. Don't leave beer in your growler to spoil. Always use very hot water to rinse out your jug.

Growlers are purchased items, they cannot be returned for a deposit.

Congratulations!

Congratulations to Flat Branch manager Jarrett, who recently passed his Cicerone exam. The Cicerone is the pinnacle of beer knowledge certification. Jarrett is the first person in Columbia, and only the third person in the state of Missouri to reach this acheivement.

The word Cicerone (pronounced sis-uh-rohn) has been chosen to designate those with proven expertise in selecting, acquiring and serving today’s wide range of beers.

Many people think that they are experts on beer. Only those who have passed the requisite test of knowledge and tasting skill can call themselves a Cicerone.

Congratulations!

New To-go Order Policy
We have decided to not do any seperate to-go orders. All to-go orders, regardless of size, will be on a single ticket and will need to be paid with a single form of payment at the bar.

We need to do this because we need to simplify the to-go order process so our staff can help all of our guests in a more timely fashion.

About Us
Flat Branch Pub & Brewing offers a diverse menu as well as a variety of hand-crafted beers. Enjoy your stay in the upscale industrial setting of our restaurant, in our spacious outdoor beer garden, or over Columbia’s largest bar. Our fresh handmade food compliments our brews but is delicious enough to stand on its own. Enjoy your meal with our in-house baked breads and desserts. After dinner, sip one of our many single malt scotches or small batch bourbons.

The managers and staff at Flat Branch are committed to providing the best food, beer, service and value in the Mid-West.
