| Our new Spring/Summer Menu |
Our new menu starts May 1st. We try to change our menu a couple times a year as we rotate heavier winter fare with lighter summer items. We strive to find that perfect menu with just the right balance of comfort foods, vegetarian options, and what people seem to want.
I think that Chef Rob Sampson has done a super job this spring in hitting a really great mix of new items. Our awesome Ploughman's Platter is back with a delicious link of in-house made and smoked Kielbasa. We brought back our light and tasty Avocado Chicken Salad which is available as either a sandwich or a salad. We have an amazing Cajun Shrimp Wrap, as well as a Pulled Pork Sandwich, a new Brewhouse Salad, and many other new changes!
Quite possibly one of the best changes on this menu is our new Artisan Bun and our new bun toaster. Nothing like a toasted bun to really enhance the flavor of our already tasty Pub Burgers!

| Closed on Memorial Day |
It is once again time for us to reward the people who help keep the pub running everyday! Flat Branch will be closed for our annual employee picnic on Monday, May 26, 2008. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our guests.

Scientists in Spain have determined that drinking beer after a workout is better than drinking just plain water. At Flat Branch, we have long believed that after a long shift, a beer is the best thing to recuperate!

At Flat Branch, we like to pride ourselves on having a the best employee staff in Columbia! In fact, our dedicated employees are one of the main reasons we've been in business for 14 years!
Our turnover is typically low for a restaurant, but we always tend to lose a few as the MU school year ends. Currently we are now looking for the following positions:
--Pizza Cook
--Line Cook
--Host
--Server (prior serving experience required AND must have current weekday lunch availability)
--Service Assistant (bussers)
The Flat Branch crew is a bit like family, and we do like to hire people for the long term. If you are just looking for a summer job, we probably aren't the best fit for you, but if you're looking for a job for the next year or two, come see us. We always get lot of applications, so we tend to be picky, but you might be the perfect fit for us!
HINT: Don't apply for a bartender position because we only promote people from our staff into those positions.
