| Growlers: Environmentally Friendly Drinking |
Everyday should be Earth Day!
Remember that refilling a growler is better is more eco-friendly than recycling a bunch of empty cans and bottles! Our half-gallon glass growlers are possibly the most environmentally friendly way to purchase beer for home consumption. Nothing to throw away or recycle after using!
Here's some information about growlers here at Flat Branch:
1.) We do fill growlers from other brewpubs as long as they have the volume and Surgeon General warning permanently marked on the container.
2.)We cannot fill random containers. According to the federal government (BATF) they must be permanently marked with the volume and the Surgeon General warning.
3.)Please throughly clean your growler after each use, so that next time you fill it, it will be clean. Don't leave beer in your growler to spoil. Always use very hot water to rinse out your jug.
4.)Growlers are purchased items, they cannot be returned for a deposit.
